A Lady’s Unfinished Portrait
By Trix Payne, the author of A Rake at Heart
In the candlelit salons and flower-strewn gardens of Regency London, a notorious gentleman courts redemption—and discovers it in the delicate brushstrokes of an artist’s heart.
Henry Gresham was once the ton’s most charming rake, until witnessing love’s transformative power in his closest friend. Now determined to leave his past behind, Henry vows never to slip into another hollow liaison—until he meets Lady Juliana Carlisle. Newly arrived from the countryside with a painter’s gifted eye, Juliana yearns to claim her place in a world too quick to dismiss genuine talent and passion.
Their first encounter sparks curiosity and reluctant admiration. As Henry guides Juliana through glittering ballrooms and secret garden alcoves, she reveals a London he never knew—one of quiet truths and gentle colors. Yet as their stolen kisses stir hope and longing, old scandals, whispered rumors, and a dangerous rival threaten their fragile trust. Hidden letters, cryptic sketches, and estate mysteries cast shadows over their future, testing whether their bond can outlast the weight of past transgressions and unexpected claims.
Sensual, tender, and achingly honest, A Lady’s Unfinished Portrait is a story of two souls forging a love courageous enough to withstand secret legacies, ill-intentioned suitors, and lingering doubts. Each passionate embrace and every brushstroke on canvas reveals that true love—like the finest portrait—demands boldness, authenticity, and the willingness to face every hidden corner of the heart.
If you crave romance shimmering with desire, heart, and artful revelations, A Lady’s Unfinished Portrait will immerse you in a world where love blossoms with every whispered breath, and the promise of forever awaits in both the subtle shadows and the bright light of day.
