From the Author
The story behind this book.
This picture book was inspired by a homeless person in my neighborhood who lives in a box. The story is about two children who help a homeless woman at Christmas time. I think Marni Backer's illustrations for the book are the best! Her pictures have a hauntingly beautiful quality. I hope that children will gain deeper understanding and compassion for homeless people through reading this book.
