The author of this 149 page prairie biography was born in 1914 in Lethbridge, Alberta. Her self-taught artwork appears throughout -mostly in colour. LEARN more about : Bonnie Cock, Milk River, Wheeler family, Duff Addition, coal oil, number ten cotton, Babe Barton, Michael Pisko, Claresholm, Orangeman's parade, Mud Lake road, baking cookies, and number six mine. Cond : Red boards with gilt lettering - face and spine. White end-papers. D.J. is light blue with front and back artwork - winter activity scenes by the author/artist. Tight bright square and clean. No names nor marks. Minimal wear. D.J. has a major tear at front hinge. Very collectible none-the-less. Hard to find ! QUote (p. 10) : " In grade four I had the tall, elegant Miss Marion for my teacher. She could sing like a canary. One month I received a bracelet for coming in second in my class.
