Uno de los grandes placeres veraniegos ha sido hundirme en la lectura de novelas y cuentos de William Somerset Maugham, una asignatura que ten�a pendiente. Las pel�culas que adaptaban sus obras siempre me hab�an llamado la atenci�n y llevaba a�os detr�s de leer su legado literario. As� que manos a la obra? y estoy disfrutando de lo lindo. As� he podido ir a las fuentes originales de pel�culas que forman parte de mi memoria cin�fila y sigo buscando los relatos o cuentos que han vomitado pel�culas que me han interesado. Lo que m�s me ha fascinado de Somerset Maugham como autor es sin duda la psicolog�a de sus personajes. As� sus novelas y relatos trazan un mapa de la naturaleza humana, con sus luces y sus sombras, y la fuerza de sus historias reside en unos personajes perfectamente construidos.
