Eric Folds, Ph.D., takes us on an in-depth look at love and relationships. The book by its design is to help us to understand how love is expressed and nurtured in relationships. The work takes a comprehensive but thorough look at the different aspects of love-relationships including passion, compassion, intimacy, commitment, trust, communication, healthy relationships, and much more. We examine the expert opinions of researchers regarding friendships, liking, mate-selection, marriages, common relationship problems and solutions, healthy relationships, and psychological abuse. We review the concept of divine love and we analyze the research of psychologists, neuroscientists, and education experts. The book probes into relationship skills for all relationships and enables a learner to develop or teach empathy skills and kindness as the antithesis to psychological abuse or bullying behavior. The insight and skills learned can help reduce the prevalence of psychological abuse and trauma in relationships, friendships, schools, churches, families, and the workplace by promoting empathy skills, kindness, and love. The work teaches socially responsible beliefs and social-emotional skills. The book may also help decrease the risk of suicide, arguments, fighting, and homicide which is often the result of psychological abuse. The goal is to promote prosocial skills for all ages such as conflict resolution, empathy, communication skills, emotional intelligence, and kindness to help individuals and couples grow. The reader will become familiar with some common personality disorders and be able to identify "red flags" or the warning signs which indicate they may be in an abusive relationship. We also examine anomalies such as Stockholm syndrome and the growing problem of bullying in cyberspace, workplaces, marriage, and bullying in schools with proposed solutions. Eric Folds is the author of Healing for the Soul: An Enigma Unraveled and the bestselling author of Science Discovers God: The Mystery of Quantum Physics and Light, Heaven, Hell, and Near Death Experiences, and God, The Gospel, and Atonement. He is the Pastor of Christian Church of God, Inc. and the founder of Christian University and Theological Seminary. He is passionately involved with helping others and is married to Kimberly Folds. He has two sons Gabriel Folds and Joshua Folds.
