Hardcover with significant wear; charming paper-covered boards in vivid blue, gilt, red and white significantly worn/abraded along edges but title and artwork intact and not affected. Front hinge cracked but holding; first free endpaper consisting of color illustration titled "The First Lesson" is taped in, but we believe it probably has been moved from the interior of the book. We have reason to believe other color illustrations have been removed entirely and are not present. Water stain along edges of all pages but text not affected. Charming b&w illustrations on each page. ;.
