Item description from seller
tall 4to. paper-covered boards. 288 pages. Written in English, German, and French. Ottmar Mergenthaler, a German immigrant to America, invented the Linotype typesetter, and as is fitting, a vast amount of typefaces is present in this handbook from the Mergenthaler Type Library. Types are numbered, but organized alphabetically. Generally speaking, there are seven different type specimens per page. A near fine copy.
