Four Volumes. Size of binding: 8 5/8 in. x 12 ¼ in. Bound in three-quarter burgundy morocco leather. Illustrated throughout. Blue and green marbled boards and matching marbled endpapers. Leather edges are trimmed in gilt; top edges are gilt. Spines each have four raised bands and gilt titling, and printed "N" emblems. Each of the volumes has a full-color frontispiece plate, and full-page plates in both color and black-and-white. Size of pages: 8 ¼ in. x 11 7/8 in. Large font printing, heavy paper. All the bindings are tight. Pagination: Vol. I, 283; Vol. II, 283; Vol. III, 270; and Vol. IV, 313. Index in Vol. IV. Overall, in near fine condition. Printed book label in each volume reads "Harley T. Procter." This may have been the son of a founding partner in Procter & Gamble. The son's dates were 1847-1920. Total weight is 24 lbs.
