Contemporary Black Calf Half-Leather Binding with Red cloth covered Boards and Leather Corners. 5 Raised Bands to spine with Gilt Title on Red Ground in 2nd Compartment and Gilt Decoration filling the others. Page edges speckled Red. Marbled Endpapers. Illustrated Colour Title Page, with Vignette portrait of Dr Livingstone and African warriors etc., followed by printed title page. 632 Pages, 12 1/2" Tall. Slight edge wear and a few small scrapes to leather (see photos). Hinges sound & Binding firm. No inscriptions. Some light very small spots of foxing to a few pages and some plates.
