There is some chipping and abrasion as is shown in the pictures, there is some abrasion in some hinge areas but not starting. Hinges are attached. The text blocks could be described as a little loose but solid. Some of the micro chipping might come off but the general spines and hinges are intact. Internally this set is very fresh bright clean unread and uncut pages. This would make an excellent gift and/or addition to any library.
