Add to basketL?Art 1900 (1965) by Maurice Rheims ? Arts et Métiers Graphiques Unearthed by Crappy Old Books ? where dust is a design feature. A lavish celebration of Art Nouveau in all its swirling, botanical, high-drama glory, L?Art 1900 is Maurice Rheims? richly illustrated homage to a movement that made furniture curl, posters bloom, and architecture dream. First published in 1965 by Arts et Métiers Graphiques, this is mid-century French art publishing at its most indulgent ? opulent layouts, serious scholarship, and the faint whiff of Gitanes. Our copy? Think faded grandeur: scuffed edges, maybe a wobble in the binding, and a few foxing freckles to give it that authentic ?library of a Parisian eccentric? feel. Crappy Old Books ? Where beauty is in the battered eye of the beholder. This is in French. It has a plastic protective jacket, but it has torn across the front cover. However, it doesn?t effect the book in any way as it is not part of the book and was put on by the previous owner. You can either leave it on and protect the remainder of the book, take it off and have the book as it should be or replace it, etc. Incredible volume in great condition. Very heavy, so hopefully you will buy from the UK. We might contact if postage is extreme.
