For years he lived as a hobo, carrying everything he owned in a battered wooden soap box while searching for honest work wherever the next freight train would take him.
Along the way he discovers that even in the darkest days of the Depression, kindness still exists. Farmers offer a day's work. Strangers become friends. A country preacher reminds him of God's grace. And one young traveler finds a father figure where he least expected.
