516pp + 4 plates (missing the map of Arabia). A reading copy only. Both boards detached and part of spine missing. Starts with fold-out plate of Mecca, the rest of content still well bound together and interior in nice clean condition. The 3 plates usually bound in at rear are loose and appear to have had part of margins trimmed but are all good and clean and in original folds. Some notes on verso of Mecca plate. 9 x 6 inch. Weighs 1kg. A new edition, with a memoir of the translator, and with various readings and illustrative notes from Savary's version of the Koran.
