The Germans pursued their objectives in whatever manner served them best. Undercover and other special operations, conceived and executed with ruthless thoroughness, won them some stunning acheivements against all the odds. It was specially trained SS agents-provocateurs who laid the ground for the German invasions of Czechoslovakia and Poland. Throughout the course of the war, there were special operations in all fields of military activity, including such unlikely weapons as human torpedoes, explosive motor boats and suicide ramming pilots. This both tells the complete story, right down to the children of the Werewolf and the Hitler Youth, trained in murderous partisan warfare.
