How To Know the Will of God

"Is this God's will for my life?"

It's the question that steals sleep at 2 a.m. - over a job offer you can't stop turning over, a relationship you can't quite read, a move that would change everything, or just the quiet, nagging fear that you've somehow drifted off course and can't find your way back.

You are not the first person to lie awake with that question. And you won't be the last.

After forty years as a pastor, evangelist, and prison chaplain, Michael C. Herbert has sat across from thousands of people wrestling with exactly this - the anxious, the stuck, the ones afraid of getting it wrong. And here's what four decades of ministry taught him: discerning God's will isn't guesswork, and it isn't a rigid formula either. It's a pattern. And patterns can be learned.

In this book, you'll discover five trustworthy witnesses - Scripture, circumstance, the Holy Spirit's inner witness, wise counsel, and the peace of God - that work together to confirm His direction for your life. You'll learn how to test each one. How to weigh them against a decision, big or small. And - this is the part most books skip - what to do when they seem to disagree with each other.

No more spinning in circles. No more second-guessing every open and closed door. No more mistaking anxiety for direction.

Stop wondering if you're headed the wrong way. Start walking forward with confidence.
