Paperback. When Marilyn H. Matia's children and grandchildren began asking questions about her life, they opened the door to something much larger than family stories. Their conversations reach across four generations, exploring what it means to live with hope, conviction, faith, and purpose in an ever-changing world.Drawing upon nearly a century of experience, Marilyn reflects on raising children, the expectations placed upon women, adapting to change, managing disappointment, shaping a moral foundation, and finding meaning in every season of life. She also shares memories of living through the Great Depression, World War II, the Civil Rights Movement, and decades of public service, offering her perspective on America's founding principles, civic responsibility, and the legacy each generation leaves behind.Tender, candid, thought-provoking, and often humorous, Kitchen Table Talk is part memoir, part living history, and part conversation across four generations. It reminds us that some of life's most enduring lessons are shared not from a podium, but across a kitchen table. Nearly a century of life, laughter, faith, and hard-earned wisdom. Marilyn H. Matia shares candid stories of family, history, change, and purpose, inviting readers of every generation to pull up a chair and join the conversation. This item is printed on demand.
