Paperback. Kingdoms at War is an epic dark fantasy saga of fractured brotherhood, ruthless ambition, and the brutal cost of power in a world forever changed by cataclysm. After the fall of the God King and the Event that shattered the old order, three men bound by blood, battle, and betrayal rise from the ashes to forge their own destinies.Once brothers-in-arms, Hormoth, Orinon, and Urian now stand as kings and warlords, each haunted by the past and driven by visions of what must come next. Hormoth Sielrand, the Mountain Breaker and flame-wielding conqueror, is a force of nature who refuses to accept limits. Unyielding to his core, he bends savage tribes to his will including the terrifying Skifte; skin-walkers who shed human form for the fury of beasts. For Hormoth, unity is not a request; it is destiny. Whether through fire, blood, or sheer dominance, he will forge a single nation strong enough to survive the coming storm-even if he must burn the world to do it.Orinon Sielrand, the measured ruler of the growing kingdom of Sielrand, seeks order amid chaos building alliances, drilling his elite Corps into a disciplined force, and navigating dangerous pacts with the enigmatic Vendrazi, ancient Shadow Elves who offer training and protection in exchange for a foothold in human lands. Torn between the weight of legacy, the demands of fatherhood, and the ghosts of his own upbringing, Orinon struggles to become the protector his people need without becoming the tyrant he fears.Urian, the Misli king, walks a path of ingenuity and quiet defiance. Leading a people long dismissed as exiles and wanderers, he wields forgotten arts and clockwork war machines that blend magic and engineering into devastating weapons. Protective of his family and determined to prove the worth of the marginalized, Urian's empire rises not through brute force alone, but through intellect, resilience, and carefully guarded secrets. As old bonds fracture and new alliances form with skin-changers, shadow elves, and darker powers, the three brothers draw their kingdoms into a collision course. External threats loom: ravenous hordes, ancient adversaries slipping through a torn veil between worlds, and a demonic force that sees humanity as little more than fodder for its throne of ruin. When war erupts at the gates of Dalmere and the battlefield itself is torn into a nightmarish underworld of ash and bone, the brothers must confront not only each other but an enemy that threatens to unmake everything they have built.Raw, visceral, and unflinching, Kingdoms at War weaves brutal combat, shifting loyalties, monstrous transformations, and deeply human moments of love, regret, and sacrifice. From cave-dwelling cannibals who wear the skins of beasts to towering elven warriors and clockwork juggernauts striding across fields of carnage, the novel delivers a grim yet hopeful vision of leadership, brotherhood, and survival in a world that no longer plays by the old rules.Fans of gritty epic fantasy who love the political intrigue and moral complexity of A Song of Ice and Fire, the visceral action and mythic scope of The Black Company or Prince of Thorns, and the personal stakes of familial saga will find themselves immersed in a tale where victory demands terrible prices and even the strongest flames can be extinguished by greater darkness. In the end, only one truth remains certain: in a broken world, kingdoms do not rise through peace. They are forged in war. This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from our UK warehouse or from our Australian or US warehouses, depending on stock availability.…
