Paperback. This rollicking tale will take you into the lives of a rural Alabama family . with unexpected twists as the sharecroppers strive to upgrade their living conditions from the rundown shack they all share next to a kudzu-covered wilderness. The three brothers, their parents and grandparents make shrewd and not-so-shrewd decisions in both their business and their personal lives in the pursuit of this goal. The youngest brother marches to a different drummer, and strives earnestly to turn his experiments with the hated, invasive kudzu vine into a medical miracle . with unexpected results. Gillum fans will immediately feel at home with the wonderfully drawn redneck flavor of all the characters, including the Reverend I. Timothy LaPorte, who will have you laughing out loud. A great read. This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from our UK warehouse or from our Australian or US warehouses, depending on stock availability.
