THE CHAPTER herein documents that King James I of England was a linguist and a scholar, but more importantly, he was a Christian king and a godlyman who sought the salvation of his family and subjects and authorized the Bible which has come to be called the King James Bible. Like many who seek to promote the word of God, James has been unfairly represented by false accusers.
This chapter brings primary sources to bear which vindicate his character and retraces the steps which brought about the Authorized Version. The special qualities of each of the King s translators are presented. The myth of any subsequent revisions of the text of the King James Bible is put to rest. The Apocrypha is shown to be
merely historical and pseudographic, as it was understood to be in 1611. Finally, the writings by the KJB translators are listed, none of which are well-known. This clearly demonstrates that these men could not, in and of themselves, produce this Holy Bible without the Spirit of God, who promised he would guide you into all truth.
IN AWE OF THY WORD proves conclusively that All scripture is given by inspiration of God... (2 Tim. 3:16). For the last 400 years, the English-speaking people have wisely loved the King James Bible and received it not as the word
of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in youthat believe (1 Thes. 2:13).
