Item description from seller

"The marble plate which first emerged in Ascone in 1962 and has found its way since into the private collection of F. Bolla in Lugano is ny all means unique in its kind. Edith B. Thomas has unequivocally established that the marble in question illustrates King David dancing before the Ark, as described in Samuel VI. 13-23. . Edith B. Thomas is convinced that the marble is of Jewish workmanship and its function may be brought into connection with the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkoth)." 64p.
