Felix Hübel, gedruckt in der Officin Drugulin. -------- Walter Horatio Pater (* 4. August 1839 in Shadwell in einem heutigen Londoner Stadtteil; gest. 30. Juli 1894 in Oxford) war ein englischer Essayist und Kritiker. Sein Leben als Kollegiat war ereignisarm; Pater war scheu und ein ausgesprochener Buchmensch, sodass er nur wenige Freundschaften schloss. Auch sein später ausgebildeter literarischer Geschmack war noch nicht erkennbar. Der Geisteswissenschaftler Benjamin Jowett erkannte sein Potential und bot ihm Privatunterricht an. Obwohl Pater sich für ihn eher enttäuschend entwickelte, schloss er sein Literaturstudium 1862 mit der zweithöchsten Bewertungsstufe ab. Die Grundideen der späteren Ästhetischen Bewegung lassen sich in Teilen auf Pater zurückführen. Sein Einfluss ist besonders deutlich bei einem der prominentesten Vertreter der Bewegung, Oscar Wilde, der einst Schüler Paters in Oxford war. Der Perfektionist Pater schrieb nur unter großer Anstrengung und korrigierte seine Arbeit stets pedantisch. Sein literarischer Stil, heiter und kontemplativ, lässt (mit den Worten Gilbert Keith Chestertons) ein "enormes Streben nach Unparteilichkeit" ahnen. Reichtum und Tiefe seiner Sprache passten zu seiner Lebensphilosophie, die von einer Sehnsucht geprägt war, "mit einer harten, edelsteinartigen Flamme zu brennen" und in Harmonie mit dem Höchsten zu leben.

Statutory Right to cancel
You have the right to cancel this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
The cancellation period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the the last good or the last lot or piece.

If you use this option, we will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a cancellation on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.

Effects of cancellation
If you cancel this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).
We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.

We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.

You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
