A killer INSIDE the Witness Protection Program
With a homicidal maniac on the loose, the fabric of a system created to safeguard is unraveling. The very program designed to protect people is killing them. One by one. The Australian Federal Police is oblivious, unsolved murders turn into cold cases, and the killer is evolving. Only one man has the necessary expertise to identify patterns and the unstoppable drive to pursue leads. However, with his recently failed fitness test getting him suspended, he can’t do either—at least not officially.
Meet Frank Hofmann: larger than life, brilliantly unconventional and going through a midlife crisis
German-born Frank Hofmann has an appetite for investigating murders, so when he catches a whiff of what could be the most intricate case of his career, Frank’s insatiable hunger for justice catapults him into a deadly chase where he finds himself questioning loyalties and uncovering shocking truths. Haunted by his past and battling his own demons, Frank races against time to protect those whose lives depend on the very success of the program. Yet the killer remains one step ahead, and Frank's time is running out in more ways than one . . .
This killer has an agenda no one sees coming
Desperate to redeem himself, Frank reaches out to his former AFP partner, Amy Lamborne. Initially hesitant, Amy soon becomes Frank’s only ally, rallying behind him, providing vital information and unwavering support. Because if he’s right, this is bound to culminate in a showdown of epic proportions. Will Frank unravel the web of deception before being forced to abandon the hunt and leave Australia forever? The countdown is on to save his career, his sanity, and human lives.
Join a pulse-pounding race against the clock through the shadows of a witness protection program where danger lurks in unexpected places
In his # 1 crime thriller, Killer Witness, Conrad Bux artfully delivers an immersive experience where Nordic Noir meets Aussie Allure in this masterfully crafted narrative of complex characters, cunning plots and relentless suspense, keeping readers entertained until the very last page.
