Neuware - What does a barely domesticated mountain woman do in a civilized city She takes the hard way and follows her heart. When Billie Maiyem left her mountain village to study healing at a college, she couldn't wait. She wanted to make a real difference to her tribe, but she also wanted to explore, and learn, and meet new people. She had no idea that Kilhellions had a nasty reputation as brutish, ignorant, uncivilized cannibals. She speaks several languages, but never realized she'd be expected to read, and to count. The best she can do is to learn how to use her healing gift as quickly as possible, ignore the whispers, and try not to punch too many people in the face. Then a message arrives. Your brother needs you. Hurry to Sellon. Now she's racing home, willing to fight past any obstacle, row across the sea, face the hellions that hunt humans during true night. She's even willing to ask nicely. Book One of the True Dawn series is the beginning of a new epic sword and sorcery fantasy by EM Prazeman, author of The Lord Jester's Legacy and The Poisoned Past black powder fantasy trilogies.…
