Print on Demand. This book cogently explores the conditions that lead to health and those that cause disease. It is based on the work of the author, a medical pioneer and proponent of preventive medicine. The author deconstructs vital human functions such as breathing, digestion, and reproduction, to emphasize the role of symmetry and harmony in maintaining optimal well-being. Throughout, the author stresses the importance of environmental factors such as sunlight, air, and exercise. By understanding the guiding principles of health and disease, we can make informed choices that lead to a healthier, happier life. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book.

Disease is an effect and is generally the result of our ignorance and imprudence. Disease is never de sired it cripples and destroys our faculties, corrodes the beauty of our persons, robs us of enjoyment, takes away our usefulness, and is attended with much suffering and pain, that often amounts to agony.
On the other hand, health, though always desired, is never appreciated until lost. The invalid alone knows its value. Health is wealth, and to secure it is the first step to greatness. We should preserve it As A religious duty.
