Hello it's been a while since I updated this storefront. We are now in midsummer and can all dream. We in G.B have a new government that maybe better and hopefully no worse that the last one. As I get older I realise that political parties need to amend laws to make it look as if they are doing something worthwhile. To escape this you should buy a few books and do something really worthwhile. I'm hoping that you will buy some of the books I have on the site. after all, unlike T.V. you don't get distracted by ads or politics whilst you are reading. I want to thank those of you who have bought from me in the past and I hope the books have offered some you pleasure. I have noticed that by and large it was the least expensive books that sell. However I am not complaining, I run this "bookshop" as a hobby. Carry on the good work!, and but things must start looking up and soon as I can I hope to put some new stuff on line. Soon I trust we will be able to sit in the warmth of our homes enjoying a good read and a satisfying drink. However, to pass the time I have begun to reread books I haven't looked at for years. Some are better than I recall, many are still just as bad. Anyway this is meant to be a sales pitch and I would like people to buy my books so that I can buy some new, to me, ones. I tend to sell cheaper books for people to enjoy without going bankrupt. Why don't you read a good book. one of mine preferably. Sit down with a drink at home and escape to another world. Now is a good time to buy and for a few hours escape from all this. Make someone happy, me!. Postage, once again Prices have risen, I always seems odd that it costs more to send a parcel than the value of the contents! However should you be asked to pay more than the actual postage cost I am happy to refund the extra via "Paypal". For larger books I have begun to use a courier service (UK Only) as they are cheaper than Royal Mail and deliver within two to three days. I do not charge for the packing. I hope you can find something that will entertain, thrill and perhaps educate. There are a few nice signed editions which deserve a look. If there are any crime novels or in fact any books you want please ask. If I don't have them I can possibly get them for you. I also have a number of older crime novels, dating from the 1920's. These are generally reading copies and will not be on the site. If you want any information on any of these send me an email, or just give me a ring and I will try and help. Because of the postal strike I shall send books by courier if possible.

Information regarding the right of cancellation
If you are a consumer you can cancel the contract in accordance with the following. Consumer means any natural person who is acting for purposes which are outside his trade, business, craft or profession.
INFORMATION REGARDING THE RIGHT OF CANCELLATION
Statutory Right to cancel
You have the right to cancel this contract within 14 days without giving any reason.
The cancellation period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the the last good or the last lot or piece.
To exercise the right to cancel, you must inform us, Kevin Webb Books, 25 Redwood Close, Northgate, RH10 8JL, Crawley, United Kingdom, +44 01293 565725, of your decision to cancel this contract by a clear statement (e.g. a letter sent by post, fax or e-mail). You may use the attached model cancellation form, but it is not obligatory. You can also electronically fill in and submit a clear statement on our website, under "My Purchases" in "My Account". If you use this option, we will communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a cancellation on a durable medium (e.g. by e-mail) without delay.
To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired.
Effects of cancellation
If you cancel this contract, we will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery (except for the supplementary costs arising if you chose a type of delivery other than the least expensive type of standard delivery offered by us).
We may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you.
We will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than 14 days after the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel with contract.
We will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of such reimbursement.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest.
You shall send back the goods or hand them over to us or Kevin Webb Books, 25 Redwood Close, Northgate, RH10 8JL, Crawley, United Kingdom, +44 01293 565725, without undue delay and in any event not later than 14 days from the day on which you communicate your cancellation from this contract to us. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You will have to bear the direct cost of returning the goods. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
Exceptions to the right of cancellation
The right of cancellation does not apply to:
- the delivery of newspapers, journals or magazines with the exception of subscription contracts; and
- the supply of digital content which is not supplied on a tangible medium (e.g. on a CD or DVD) if you accepted when you placed your order that we could start to deliver it, and that you could not cancel it once delivery had started.
