The American printmaker Kerr Eby created 212 prints over the course of his four-decade career. Between 1907 and 1946, Eby etched landscapes and seascapes in New England, Canada, Britain, France and North Africa. Eby conveyed his special appreciation for nature in subjects as diverse as the tranquil river valley of his Connecticut home, the rocky Maine coastline, and the vast Sahara desert. This first comprehensive reference book devoted to Eby's work is fully illustrated with each print described in detail. An essay on the artist's life introduces the catalogue, and two appendices reproduce Eby's own description of printmaking techniques and his moving essay War, an indictment based on his W.
