Paperback. Aging presents us with enough challenges without us constantly taking inventory of things we have lost. Instead of mourning our diminished abilities and faculties, we need to speak more freely, dare to step outside our comfort zones and learn how to laugh at our own foibles. This book addresses issues from the sublime to the ridiculous: -- how to explain our new repertoire of profanities-- which self-incriminating documents to save for posterity-- when to suggest group hugs to new acquaintances-- whether to tell adult children that we have taken up bungee jumpingThrough almost sixty short essays and their companion illustrations (sometimes whimsical, sometimes poignant), Willy and Joseph Garver dare us to shatter stereotypes and turn a deaf ear to those who caution us to "act our age." They encourage us to take the road less traveled and wander into terra incognita. This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from multiple locations in the US or from the UK, depending on stock availability.…
