A scarce and near-Fine copy of this undated [1937] romantic novel, presumed to be the First Edition (see code number on verso of title page: C1137). No inscription and clean throughout with no signs of use. Red boards with gilt titles and device to spine. Very faint spotting to fore-edge pages and a small manufacturing fault to the corner of last leaf (blank pages) so harmless.Charming and attractively designed dust jacket by Alex Jardine: the original folds are slightly off-centre (and a little darkened) with wear to edges, as seen.
