Here is an introduction to all of Karl Marx’s titanic achievements--and their repercussions. In one hundred concentrated pages, David McLellan clarifies often misunderstood Marxist concepts like the dialectic, the labor theory of value, and the pauperization of the proletariat. He also offers a review of the growth and nature of Marx’s reputation as well as a dramatic account of Marx’s life.
"A short, well written and (unlike some of the Master’s own work) totally intelligible survey."--The Times (London)
"[McLellan] expounds the field of Marx’s influence with a clarity only matched by its brevity... an impressive essay."--The Guardian
