(1972), ix, 198pp, occasional underlining and marks in red which mercifully appear only through page four, and don't resume until the final chapter, else G in lightly chipped G+ dj. The authors analyze the work of an obscure Russian economist, Nikolai Kondratieff, who had used his wave theory concept to predict with uncanny accuracy, according to the authors, every period of growth and inflation, recession and social turmoil, war and depression that America would see, long after his own death and right up to the time this book was written. Kondratieff had observed and analyzed the recurrence of an economic wave lasting about 52 years and operating throughout American history.
