Kimura Ihei's second publication, from his early years. It includes the famous images of a market-day in Naha (Okinawa) as well as photographs that were later used in 'Japanese School Life' (1937) 'The Girls of Japan' (1939), and 'Japan through a Leica' (1939). Detailed technical information is given on each image as well as the location and circumstances of the shot. Includes an original Kimura photograph of a lady holding an opened magazine with a nude picture, that was printed by Koishi Kiyoshi. Unusual and interesting work.
