Octavo (22 x 14 x 19cm), pp.[2] xxviii; 540 [6]; pp.[2] 607 [1]; pp.[2] 581 [5]; pp.[4] 504 [170]. With an unpaginated table of statutes and case, an index, and an appendix at the rear of volume IV. Contemporary tan full calf, with slightly raised bands, blind decoration to board margins. Blind volume numbers to spines, but no titles. Armorial bookplate of Sir Henry Wilson to front pastedown of each volume. Spotting to title pages and final few leaves of each volume, and light occasional spotting throughout, otherwise crisp and clean. All volumes show uniform moderate marks and scratches to boards, and lighter rubbing to spines. Joints to volume I split, but holding firm. An attractive uniform set in a pleasing contemporary binding. Very good. A standard work on the subject, first published in 1755. Seller Inventory # 63613
