The leather on the spine of vol. 1 has split (but not the book block) with minor chipping. Spotting to endpapers, pastedowns, and last page of text otherwise internally clean and fresh. . Junius is the pseudonymous author of a series of letters that appeared in the "Public advertiser" Jan. 1769-Jan. 1772, attacking among others the Duke of Grafton, Lord Mansfield, and George III. He is generally thought to have been Sir Philip Francis.
