Rebound in half calf with textured cloth boards. This copy includes a frontispiece of seals used by Junius in his correspondence with Mr. Woodfall, and four fold-out letter facsimiles. Collated, complete. The main collection contains letters originally published in The Public Advertiser between 1769 and 1772, critical of King Georgeâ III"s government. With other pseudonymous letters "Lucius", "Philo", etc. The original Letters of Junius were published anonymously in 1772. Rebound in half calf with cloth boards. Externally, smart. Slight rubbing and bumping to extremities, resulting in slight loss to calf at head and tail of spine and upper extremities. Bookplate of Robert Crosse Stewart to front paste down. Slight cracks to spine. Fading to extremities. Slight rubbing to boards. Bookplate from W. G. S. Whiting to half-title page. The odd spot to endpapers. Internally, firmly bound.
