ALLAN, Luke. The Jungle Crime. London: Arrowsmith. 1933. 8vo. Second impression. Publisher’s orange cloth lettered in black to the spine, in the wonderful period dust jacket by D. V. Barry. A very good copy, the corners gently rubbed, the spine tips a touch nicked, but the binding tight and square. A couple of faint spots to textblock edges, occasional spots throughout. Dust jacket priced 3/6 net to spine, generally darkened with some chips and nicks to most edges. A highly-regarded whodunit involving a murder within a restaurant, several sentimental detectives, news reporters, and gregarious members of ‘the Gang’. Republished by Stillwoods in 2015. Scarce.
