About the Author
Grant Morrison is one of the most successful ex-2000 AD writers, with a host of critical awards and a huge following. They began their career on Marvel UK’s Zoids before coming to the Galaxy’s Greatest Comic, where their strip Zenith became a fan-favourite. At first a prolific writer of ‘mature readers’ comics, including the award-winning Animal Man, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Doom Patrol, The Invisibles and The Filth for Vertigo, they have gone on to write successful runs on the X-Men and Batman and won numerous awards for their work on All-Star Superman.
Artist Mick Austin is perhaps better known for his acclaimed book jacket illustration rather than for his comics work. However, in addition to assorted covers and pin-ups, he has contributed to several 2000 AD series - Future Shocks, Indigo Prime, Judge Anderson, Judge Dredd, Tales of the Doghouse, Terror Tales, Urban Strike and Vector 13. He was also the artist behind the controversial 'Judge Corey' story in 2000 AD Sci-Fi Special 1989, featuring the titular Judge's suicide.
John Burns’ painted art has graced several 2000 AD series, notably Judge Dredd and Nikolai Dante, as well in as his own co-creation, The Bendatti Vendetta. He has also contributed to Black Light, Doctor Sin, The Scarlet Apocrypha, Vector 13 and Witchworld. Outside the Galaxy’s Greatest Comic, he has pencilled Eclipse’s ESPers and the James Bond miniseries, A Silent Armageddon.
