8vo, i-xxiv, 678 pp, portrait frontispiece, cloth (no dust wrapper was issued), a quotation by John F Curwen has been written on the front free end paper, protective plastic has been put around the book and this has left some tape residue on the end papers but otherwise a very good copy. Facsimile of the 4th edition published in Boston in 1864.
