About the Author: Jerome M. Segal is a senior research scholar at the University of Maryland's Institute for Philosophy and Public Policy. He has a Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Michigan and a degree in public affairs from the Hubert Humphrey Institute of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota. Segal, who has taught at the University of Pennsylvania and worked on Capitol Hill and for the Agency for International Development, also teaches Torah to young people. He is the author of Creating the Palestinian State, Negotiating Jerusalem, Agency and Alienation, and Graceful Simplicity.
