The first miniature addition of the dictionary is thought to be that printed under the inspection of the Literary Association and sold by John Creswick & Co., 1795. 12mo. This is labeled as a 2nd edition in the B.L.(1568.4056), but there is no record of an earlier one. The first Longman edition in miniature was published in 1798, Whittingham s printed a 12mo in 1800 (B.L: RB.23.a.7401), and Stockdale s earliest was in 1802.
