8th printing from December 1946. Hardcover in red boards in a paper dustjacket, now in mylar. A handsome early edition, very good in a good dustjacket that despite the (discreet) separation of the front panel from the spine, is exceedingly presentable in its mylar jacket. Corners sharp and boards fresh, with moderate wear only to the lower edges. Book with a minutely cocked binding which is sound and firm. Page interiors bright and crisp and unmarked.
