A Good copy of a "First Day Of Issue" of a 5 cent stamp for the man named John Chapman, better known as Johnny Appleseed. Stamp is red, green & black with an illustration of Johnny, shovel over his shoulder carrying a bag standing in front of an apple. Scott #1317. Wear to envelope along the top edging and corners. Smudging to both sides of envelope. Stamp has a cancellation from Leominster, Massachusetts. There is an address in blue ballpoint on the front of the envelope and the flap of the envelope has been folded inside. To keep the envelope's shape, an index card is inside the envelope.
