About John R. Sanderson, Bookseller
Established in 1978, I remain active in acquiring antiquarian books in all fields, mostly the result of more than seventy extended trips to Great Britain: annual trips until 1993 and semi-annual since then. Condition is very important to me. Some principal interests are travel (especially India and Morocco), Russian literature in translation, medicine, sport (especially golf), local (Berkshire County) history, and literary first editions but fine, early, and unusual books in all fields are offered. Some recent acquisitions are listed in Native Americans and Military (for American Revolution material also use keyword Revolutionary War ). There are over 100 subjects represented in my ABE "catalogs", but please also use the keyword search for specific literary figures, sports or countries. Keyword "Russian Literature" helps considerably as early title-pages offer many variant spellings. The Advanced Search feature allows you to search by date, decade, or century (there are more than 350 books printed before 1800). Images can be supplied on request. I am often asked for more than one, and I am pleased to comply. * SPRING 2023* I now keep a substantial miscellany (60 shelves) of books in an antique market (called All that Jazz), open daily 11-5) on Route 7 in Great Barrington, on the way to Stockbridge. A selection of older books in unusually fine condition is now available at Knollwood Antiques in neighboring Lee, Ma. Town center. Internet books are at home. Visitors are welcome, please call ahead. Thank you.
