This 5.75 x 8.375 inch, 225 page hardcover book is the stated First Edition of this title by the Literary Guild in 1931 with that statement ? First Edition ? on the copyright and the 1931 date on the title page. This book is in near fine condition but lacks the dust jacket. The book features the multi-hued blue-cloth covers with the cloth in near fine condition ? with virtually no wear showing at the corners or edges ? but with the cloth slightly faded on the spine. The gold foil spine title is present but has definite time wear showing ? with some chipping ? and one small tear showing. The interior text shows a previous owners bookplate and an inked inscription on the first two endpapers ? with the following text showing virtually no sign of time-wear, markings or damage. A very nice copy of this timeless tale ? with the text story highlighted by woodcut illustrations. 225 pages. Seller Inventory # 1505-1720
