Item description from seller

A 19 page booklet printed in Summerfield (a suburb in Birmingham) in 1878 for Helen Holbeche. The imprint just states the place, the front cover says the author was "Helen" but we know this is Helen Holbeche. We know she penned and published in a better production a work on a blind and deaf girl which on the BL catalogue was stated to have been by Henry Beech Thomas and we had her personal copy, they didn't actually have the original it had been destroyed in WW2 and now in the BL, so attribution changed.

Store description

We are a small, single-owner business. We have been operating on and off since 1977 and our stock is varied, leaning towards antiquarian and 19th century with the addition of original aquatint and lithographic, or woodcut engravings. Also maps and Ephemera - in fact, anything interesting on paper really. We have in stock every item we list. We do not use stock photographs, but photograph each item individually. We very rarely use "fine" or "mint" as a description, mainly due to the age and the fact that 99.9% of what we sell has been pre-owned and therefor Fine would not be a term for a book we sell despite its fine-like appearance. We always take items back unreservedly if not in the condition as described. We always try to describe fully.…
