The ultimate book on Jil Sander, the queen of minimal fashion, now in a limited special edition with a personally signed art print.
This complete, official retrospective, designed by acclaimed book designer Irma Boom in close collaboration with Jil Sander, is destined to become a coveted collector’s item. For decades, Sander’s name has been synonymous with minimalist elegance—her designs defined by the philosophy of less is more, using the highest quality materials and exquisite craftsmanship to achieve poetic purity.
This beautifully produced book, crafted with the same impeccable attention to detail as Sander’s clothing, provides unparalleled access to her remarkable journey as a designer and international businesswoman. Rich in archival material and rare insights into the life of its famously private subject, the book traces Sander’s rise from her start in the 1960s to her establishment as a visionary designer, unphased by fleeting trends.
It explores the global recognition of her brand in the late 1980s and 1990s and highlights her successful foray into cosmetics and her acclaimed partnership with Uniqlo, where she developed the +J line. Additionally, the book examines Sander’s collaborations with renowned architects on the architecture and interiors of her flagship stores, reflecting her minimalist vision across disciplines.
This elegant, limited-edition set features a premium clamshell box designed by Boom, fold-out plates, printed foils, and a glossy jacket. It also includes a numbered art print of Sander’s iconic Francesco Scavullo portrait, signed by Jil Sander herself—a timeless celebration of integrity, style, and vision.
