From the Author
I compiled this unique collection of articles for 2 reasons.
I've compiled this unique collection of articles by 45 talented authors for 2 reasons. First, I wanted readers to become familiar with these exotic, little-known Jewish communities in places like Uganda, Peru, India, and Ghana. Second, I wanted to encourage readers to contact these communities, both for their benefit (many are dangerously isolated and all are enthusiastic about receiving further Jewish education), and for the benefit of the reader. Jewish readers will find their own Judaism enhanced as they learn of the devotion of these communities in the face of great adversity. Non-Jewish readers will learn that there is barely a corner of the world where Jews have not been, and that their own families may well have included Jews at one time.
