Add to basketThis appears to be the First Edition. One would assume so because there are so few copies about. None of these copies have a stated date of publication. The latest reference that I saw in the text of the book is to September 1944, so it's an educated guess that this book was published in 1945. I can state emphatically that this book has been very well taken care of. I've rated it Near Fine. As you can see from the photos the white covers are very clean. The wear on the covers is very minor, a little nick and scratch off the front top edge, a tiny tear off the front bottom edge, a tiny crease below the rear top corner, and a tiny, light crease a little to the right of that corner. Unlike the other copies for sale, the binding of this book is excellent, perfect. It is a stapled binding. There is no wear of any kind around the staples. There are no tears on any of the pages. All of the pages are nicely tight. There is absolutely no strain, no creasing, on the sides of the junctures between any of the pages. The covers are similarly very solidly bound. The pages look terrific. They are exceptionally clean. I found, in total, one speck of a spot in the same place on both sides of one page, on the white margin, not touching the print. The pages are also nicely bright. The aforementioned small crease at the rear covers top corner can be seen as well at the top corner of the two last pages of the book. I didn't see any other creasing on any of the other pages. There are no markings in the book. No attachments of any kind. And no one has written their name or anything else anywhere. I counted 36 illustrations (mostly all old photographs). They strike me as quite special, historical photographs. They are all in exceptional condition. The book runs 63 pages in total.
