Paperback. What was Jesus' attitude to power - political, economic, military, religious or in any other form? How did he show his own power and authority? How did he deal with the powerful? How did he treat the powerless? In this stimulating and original contribution to the Jesus Library, the author tackles these and many other issues relating to the provocative subject of power. Taking the key subject of power in the ministry and work of jesus, the author examines Jesus' attitude to violence, to wealth and personal manipulation; his approach to those who held political or ecclesiastical power; the power of his healing and of his miracles as well as the way he endured suffering and finally the power of his resurrection. This book explains the radical challenges Jesus brought - and still brings - to the way power is conceived and exercised in society. 192 pp. (We carry a wide selection of titles in The Arts, Theology, History, Politics, Social and Physical Sciences. academic and scholarly books and Modern First Editions ,and all types of Academic Literature.).…
