Jesus Is Our Friend takes the reader on a spiritual journey through creation, life's struggles, life's joys, and Heaven in a concise manner with the words of Jesus as our guide. Carl Butcher grew up in inner city Cleveland. When the author was eleven years old, his father committed suicide. Carl wandered in the wilderness of life through his teenage years, then earned a bachelor's degree of Industrial Engineering and began to climb out of spiritual and financial poverty. What began as Carl Butcher's personal longing to research, analyze, and understand God's Word became a thirty-year endeavor that gave rise to him creating, and now sharing, this insightful, compassionate, and truly eloquent book. Carefully selected scripture presents God's laws and God's guidance to live in joy and righteousness. Bible verses are identified that answer our questions regarding suffering, personal fulfillment, the eternal purpose of life, and our relationships with God. The author's willingness to disclose personal tragedies, mistakes, and triumphs from his life makes Jesus is Our Friend so very readable. Carl Butcher writes from the unique perspective as a common man who found Jesus by perseverance in adversity and in studying the Holy Bible. The author's meticulous and methodical research, along with his heartfelt commentary, has produced extraordinary results. This book presents the teachings of Jesus Christ that prompt faith in God, contentment in your mind, and peace in your soul. The reader does not need prior knowledge of Jesus or knowledge of any theological terminology to understand Jesus Is Our Friend. This book is for those seeking answers to the void deep in their souls.…
