This book is a collection of sermons by Mercer University faculty and staff preached during University Worship between 2001 and 2005. The sermons engage the ways we encounter God in our daily lives. Using themes to arrange the sermons into one of four sections, each contributor attunes the reader to the presence of the Holy in our lives and the variety of vocations to which we are called. About the Author: WILFRED C. PLATT, JR. is a graduate of Furman University, the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, Ohio University and the University of Georgia. From 1966 until 2000 he was a member of the department of historyof Mercer's College of Liberal Arts. He also served as associate dean of the College for sixteen years. As Professor of History, Emeritus, he has taught part-time and, from 2002 until 2005, directed the Honors Program for the College. He is currently associate editor of the Bulletin of Mercer's Center for Baptist Studies.
